The Many Uses of Toothpaste

Did you know you could fix a scratched CD with toothpaste?

It's time to raid the medicine cabinet. You've got a secret weapon against many household problems. What is it? ... Toothpaste. There are a ton of everyday uses for toothpaste besides brushing your pearly whites. I bet you could use one of these tips right now in your own home. Don't believe me? Then read on my friend.

So what can you do with toothpaste?

Remove scratches from cds - Just scrub a little paste on it and it should get you a few more plays.

Clean diamond jewelry - Dab some on an old toothbrush and scrub your jewelry. Rise off with water and air dry. Your favorite ring will look brand new.

Stain removal - Put toothpaste on an ink of lipstick stain, scrub, and rinse. Repeat if needed.

Soothe a burn - Apply on skin right after a burn to relieve the sting.

Crayon removal - Got an Picasso wannabe in your home and out of Magic Erasers? Use toothpaste and a soft cloth or scrub brush and it will come right off. Then rinse with water.

Remove carpet stains - Squeeze some onto the carpet, scrub, rinse, and let air dry.

Shine silver - Toothpaste has a mild abrasive in it. It will polish any silver, from your old spoons to antique jewelry.

Give your baby a bow - A lot of new moms get frustrated when their adorable little girl is mistaken for a boy. Dab a little toothpaste on a small pink bow and stick it to her pretty little head. Voila!

Insect bites - Toothpaste will soothe the itch of mosquito and flea bites.

Out of spackle? - Toothpaste can be used to fill small holes in walls. It's not permanent but will help you out in a pinch.

Clean your shoes - If you have scuff marks on your shoes, rub toothpaste on it. This works great with leather boots and robber soles on your tennis shoes.

Clean your watch - Rub a little toothpaste on your scratched watch face and wipe away.

Clean your nails - Finger nails and teeth are made from the same substance so this makes sense. Scrub your nails with toothpaste and a nail brush and rinse off. It's like a mini manicure.

Treat acne - Put a dab on a pimple before bed and it will dry up the zit over night.

Prevent fogged up goggles - Rub toothpaste on the inside of your swim goggles and wipe off. This will prevent them from getting fogged up under water.

Deodorize your hands - Afte cooking your favorite meal, scrub your hands with toothpaste and water and it will remove the smell of onions and garlic.

Get gum out of hair - Spread toothpaste over the gum in your child's hair or their clothing and let it sit. It breaks down the sugar in the gum and it will come right out.

Remove scratches from glass - Use a soft cloth and wipe a window of your glasses with the toothpaste and wipe off.

Deodorize baby bottles - Squirt a little toothpaste and water in a baby bottle and scrub with a bottle brush. Rinse. This will get rid of the sour milk smell that eventually shows up after a few uses.

Clean your iron - Get the gunk off your irin with a little toothpaste and a scrub. Make sure the iron is turned off :)

Removing watermarks - You can get rid of the water rings left from a glass by wiping the wood with toothpaste. Then wipe off.
